SAFETY CONCERNS
RELIABILITY
We are the only company in the Philippines that has the whole kit approved according to the ECE 67R-01 Safety Standards (Highest European Autogas Safety Standard). Tanks and multi-valves are filled to 80% with LPG and subjected to a BONFIRE test for 20 minutes. We take security and reliability seriously to promote the use of alternative fuels.
SAFETY
• LPG vehicle tanks meet ISO quality standards and are constructed from carbon steel or composites that are 20 times more puncture resistant than normal gasoline tanks.
• Autogas systems are fitted with numerous safety devices such as pressure release valves and automatic shut-off solenoid valves.
• LPG will not ignite unless the source of ignition reaches 500c, compared to only 220 to 260C for gasoline.
• Studies have shown that LPG systems are neither more dangerous nor safer than gasoline/diesel systems.
• Our tanks are 4mm thick and subjected to pressures of 900psi during homologation testing.
Highlights of ECE 67R-01
• Bonfire test
|
|
- Demonstrate the container fitted with accessories and filled up with LPG will NOT burst under fire Lower conditions until all LPG is vented out safely
- Specific for Tank+Multivalve combination |
| • Hydraulic test |
|
- The container shall withstand an inner hydraulic pressure of 3000kPa (435psi) without leakage nor Lower permanent distortion |
| • Burst test |
|
- Container shall be able to support 225% of its design pressure, or 6750kPa (979psi) without any Lower fracture and limited change in volume |
| • Pressure relief valve |
|
- Limits pressure build up and will operate at 2700kPa (391psi) |
| • Pressure relief device (Thermofuse) |
|
- In case of fire, will vent LPG contained to prevent the container from bursting. Will operate at a temperature of 120±10°C |
| • Excess flow valve |
|
- Shall cut off flow at a pressure difference of 90kPa (13psi) and flow of 8,000 cm3/min
- Reduce flow to 500 cm3/min |
